From Castle Grounds to Kerridge Crowds: Fire, Food & A Few Dog Treats
The Campfire KickOff
It’s been a wild few weeks on the road, and we’ve still got the smell of smoke in our hair and a van full of charred Kadai’s to prove it. If you’ve ever wondered what it’s like to haul a live fire kitchen around the country, cook up feasts in castle courtyards, and stand shoulder to shoulder with some of the UK's biggest food legends. Well, let’s just say it’s one hell of a ride.
We’re not just bringing BBQ to the people. We’re starting fires (literally), feeding the masses, and creating moments that feel like food fuelled festivals of flavour. All thanks to the mighty Kadai and Lumberjaxe teams. Powered by caffeine, cowboy butter, and questionable playlists.
What’s Been Cookin’?
We kicked off with our first couple of gigs at the Great British Food Festivals, running the fire stage in Cheshire and Leeds. Four demos a day, thousands of hungry guests, and the unmistakable scent of smoked tomahawks in the air.
Then came a massive milestone: our debut on the Pub In The Park Fire Stage at Marlow, rubbing shoulders with Tom Kerridge and a line-up of live fire legends.
Honestly? Still buzzing.
It was a proper pinch me moment seeing Daddy Bear Grills holding its own in front of the crowds.
And now? We’re bringing it home. This week we’re back where it all started. Tonbridge Castle, Wayne’s hometown, for Canines At The Castle. It’s dogs, demos, and deliciousness as we host our very own fire stage and serve up flame cooked treats to a show full of foodies (and their furry friends). If you’re passing by, follow the smell of fire roasted chicken and you’ll find us.
Behind The Smoke
These last few weeks haven’t just been about smoke and sear. They’ve been about growth.
Every fire stage we run, every flatbread we flip, every crowd we feed. It’s all building something bigger. This brand started with a fire pit in the woods, a camera, and a dream. Now we’re headlining fire stages, partnering with legends, and turning sparks into a movement.
There’s something powerful about cooking in the open air with nothing but flames and flavour to guide you. And we’re just getting started.

From The Fire Pit
· Moment: Feeding Tom Kerridge’s audience and hearing the cheers (and meat sweats) roll in.
· Banger of the Week: "Firestarter" by The Prodigy (obviously).
· Quote of the Week: "You smell like brisket and ambition."
Until next time... Stay hungry, stay smoky.
Remember, there’s flavour in every flame & memories in every meal.
