Everything we do is inspired by family, tradition, and a deep love for cooking over an open flame.
One of our founders, Wayne Smith, grew up surrounded by the tantalising aromas of cooking, learning the art of flavour from his late mother, Liz.
It was in her kitchen and back garden that Wayne’s passion for food was first ignited. A passion that has become the heart of Daddy Bear Grills.
Wayne picked up the love of cooking over fire through many years camping and burning his way through lots of gas bbq’s!
This is where he found his passion for using live fire and coals.
This passion saw Wayne become a finalist in the British Live Fire Cooking Championships where he competed on stage in the iconic Ludlow Castle.
